WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Chairman of the National Intelligence Subcommittee of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and Member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, led a series of Intelligence meetings in Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, last week. The purpose of the meetings was to assess national security and intelligence related matters with counterparts, as well as to strengthen the relationship between key strategic partners.

Congressman Fitzpatrick met with various officials including Sweden’s National Security Advisor Henrik Landerholm, State Secretary Peter Sandwall, US Ambassador to Finland Douglas Hickey, US Ambassador to Latvia Christopher Robinson, and the National Security Advisors and intelligence officials from our Nordic and Baltic partners. As Chairman of the National Intelligence Subcommittee, Congressman Fitzpatrick conducts oversight of intelligence programs and partnerships that exist to protect our US national security. These meetings provided crucial insight into how the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) can continue to work with these allies to better enhance our security efforts on a global scale, as well as strengthening our NATO alliance. These meetings also provided critical input for efforts to enhance the security landscape at home and abroad, and Congressman Fitzpatrick looks forward to continuing these efforts through his various national security roles in Congress.
